Let start with how we met! Love stories can indeed start with a simple click. Paige, having unintentionally let her Christian Mingle membership renew, stumbled upon Kyland's profile. The initial awkwardness of texting transformed into a profound connection when we finally met at "Sights and Sounds" in San Marcos, TX. Texting for weeks before meeting in person, there was a shared understanding that this was more than just a date; it was the beginning of a journey towards a long-term relationship.
Fast forward to a grand proposal against the breathtaking backdrop of Colorado's Red Rock Amphitheater. Kyland, always one to infuse creativity, orchestrated a memory book – a chronicle of our dates. The final page revealed a picture from the day before, a clandestine snapshot of him on bended knee, Paige with her eyes closed, and a resounding "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" A sneak peek into the artistic touch that defines our approach.

Paige, a journalism graduate, received her calling just a day before her graduation. What initially seemed like a deviation from her journalistic path turned out to be a Holy-Spirit led career path. Paige has been serving in full-time ministry with Chi Alpha at Texas State since 2017. She loves her full-time position at XATXST, where she mentors and helps college students through the difficulties of college life, pointing them to God along the way. Kyland also serves on a more part-time basis mentoring young guy students and directing the worship team.
Kyland's marketing and videography spanned industries, from real estate, restaurants, and healthcare to churches, schools and weddings, where he discovered a profound passion for wedding videography. When Paige joined him in capturing these love-filled moments, it became a game-changer, reinforcing Kyland's dedication to continuing the journey of wedding videography as a united husband-wife duo.
Beyond serving full-time at Chi Alpha and being weekend wedding-capturing warriors, we're an integral part of the media team at Radical Church in Kyle, TX. Paige's crash course in photography from our pastor laid the foundation for her newfound passion. Through Radical Church, Paige found a new medium for storytelling through photography, capturing the essence of life's magical moments. These weekends not only allow us to serve our community but also become a melting pot of inspiration for our craft.
After assisting Kyland with videographing some weddings, Paige swiftly gravitated towards a more significant role. Embracing photography, we transformed into a dynamic duo, each complementing the other. This evolution marked the birth of “Better Half Media”, – Initially named "Heart for Media," the concept embodied our deep connection to storytelling and capturing the heart of every moment.
This is more than a professional partnership; it's a shared life adventure. Our marriage is the backbone of Better Half Media, reflecting in the stories we tell. We work well together, and that collaborative spirit sets us apart. It's not just about capturing moments; it's about crafting a visual story that resonates with the depth of your love.
